BLUEGRASS IN HAWAII

This is Ho'omaluhia Botanical Garden where the festival was held. Everybody camped in the park. It was a beautiful setting!

We tried contra dancing, semi-successfully. It was a blast and we had a great time twirling around!

We had a fantastic tour of the Ko'olau Ukelele factory by our new friend Killin (pronounced Ki-lin)on the right who works there. We met him at the bluegrass festival and he is an incredible musician and a great guy. Everybody holding a case bought a uke there, which put a smile on Killin's face!

We had a great time rowing in the outriggers. A great shoulder work-out!

And a great day at the beach as well! This is the beach closest to Jimbo's house. Really nice!

Sigh.......isn't nature amazing? Among the weeds is this lovely violet.

Chip and Sunny are happy too. They have been rolling in our newly mowed lawn. Doesn't it look like Sunny is smiling?

These two are in love. They have a nest with about 8 eggs in it. He's with her every minute of the day.
